Helene Goldnadel: “Acting in television commercials, acting lessons, acting jobs for kids, you don’t know where to start do you? Here you are, on your day off, trying to figure out what you’re gonna do to get your little child actor out in the world! Acting schools in Los Angeles and child actor schools will promise you a lot in exchange for that tuition money which you should only part with when it comes to a vocational school, licensed in the State of California, such as International Creative Artists.”
Anchorman: “Helene Goldnadel, is the owner of International Creative Artists, she was a SAG and AFTRA agent in New York, is now a producer and the owner of International Creative Artists. Helene, what can you tell us about your school?”
Helene Goldnadel: “Oh, okay then so I’ll continue plugging away! (Laughs) International Creative Artists’ placement program is really outstanding. We have several Hollywood agents, they’re all Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) franchised talent agents and they come in on a weekly basis to audition our graduates.
Anchorman: Should parents look for talent agents or Hollywood agents for their young child actor, and baby modeling agencies for their baby modeling?
Helene Goldnadel: Baby modeling is handled by baby managers who also participate in International Creative Artists’ placement program and talent agents who handle such age range of 0 month and up! Child modeling agencies are no other than print department of talent agencies that come in to International Creative Artists. Child star models are actually commercial small child actors, since print work is lesser than acting for commercials for children.
Anchorman: Do all of your teen-age graduates get introduced to modeling agencies?
Helene Goldnadel: Modeling agencies only have a slight interest in teen-age models that don't have the right height, weight, and age-range. Indeed, runway models have to be very tall. Acting for television commercials is more for those commercial looking child actors and talent.
Anchorman: What about screenwriting?
Helene Goldnadel: Screenwriting is an excellent skill to grow and cultivate, and could be added to acting lessons and singing lessons. We have the best acting lessons in Los Angeles and Orange County at International Creative Artists, and I am speaking to the best singing coaches in Los Angeles to add such curriculums in January 06.
Anchorman: What about soap operas?
Helene Goldnadel: Soap Opera stars are great actors! Sitcom stars are not necessarily better trained. The screen writing for a soap opera may seem weaker but the story line has to be outstanding as well as the acting. Writers for television soap opera just like sitcoms or episodic dramas, all are members of the Writers Guild of America!
Anchorman: Do you think actors these days should be versatile like let’s say your graduate Magdalena Zielinska?
Helene Goldnadel: Magdalena Zielinska is a sitcom writer, a director; she also doubles up with any and all acting skills. She is great when it comes to acting for television commercials as well as acting for television dramas, sitcoms, feature films and soap operas! And a lot of our child actors and older are this versatile and talented as well. Yes, you are better up doing it all!
